Density Toy

I picked up this in a toy shop.  Students are fascinated by it and always wonder how it works. Once they learn about density, they figure it out pretty easily.

Darren, thanks so much for all the great ideas you've posted. I've been following your blog for awhile now. I find your blog a great resource for age appropriate demonstrations. So often the demonstrations I find out there are just too complicated for middle school kids. You've really stayed true to keeping it simple and clear. I teach school in Taipei, Taiwan, and am currently working on a technology certification. As part of that process I've started a blog as well. Feel free to tune in if you'd like to see what we're doing over here. Bringing Tech to Teaching: http://www.coetail.asia/bmaguire/

your videos are really great for teaching. Teachers can just show it in classrooms so students could understand the concept better. But of course, hands-on experiments are better. thanks for the ideas! keep them coming...

Do you know where they are available from online?

Sorry to get back to you in a slow manner. I picked it up at a toy store in Berkeley, CA called Mr. Mopps. I don't know where you can get it online though.
